With the time, the tone and shape of our eyelids, eyebrows, forehead and the tissue around the eyes starts to fall, this process can make us appear more tired or older. The blepharoplasty can correct the eyelids, remove the fat above and below your eyes and the excess of skin in the top and bottom of the eyelids. The blepharoplasty can be done alone or in combination with other surgical procedures such as Ritidoplasty and frontoplasty. The blepharoplasty is performed under general anesthesia and is ambulatory. The initial incision is made internally and externally in the sack of the upper eyelid and on the edge of the lower eyelid, deposits of fat are removed and the incisions are closed using small stitches. The stitches are removed after 5 or 6 days.
